The Memphis Grizzlies played the first 25 game without superstar guard Ja Morant and they will have to reaclimate themselves for life sans Morant for the remaining 46 contests. The high-flying guard will miss the rest of the season after he will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum, according to an announcement from the Grizzlies Monday.
Morant appeared in 9 games this season, averaging 25.1 points, 8.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds on .471/275/.813. Memphis was 6-3 in the games in which Morant played.
He is expected to make a full recovery before the 2024-25 campaign.
